Huffman & Huffman isn’t just a name, it’s a reflection of how this practice was built and what it stands for. Founded by Dr. Jim Huffman, a Magna Cum Laude graduate and Alpha Omega Alpha honor society member who trained at the University of Kentucky, the practice has grown across generations. Today it includes his son, Dr. Jimmy Huffman, a fellowship-trained cornea and refractive surgery specialist, alongside Dr. Adrienne Millett, a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 45 years of experience serving the Richmond community. Patients here aren’t seeing rotating strangers, they’re cared for by physicians with deep roots in central Kentucky who have invested their careers in this region.

Dr. Jimmy Huffman completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Iowa, recognized nationally and internationally as a top-tier program, giving Richmond patients access to subspecialty corneal care they’d otherwise have to travel to a major metro to find. He is the first physician in central Kentucky to perform collagen cross-linking for progressive keratoconus and post-refractive ectasia, and one of the only fellowship-trained refractive surgeons in the region. For complex conditions like Fuchs’ endothelial dystrophy, keratoconus, and advanced cataract cases, that level of training makes a meaningful difference.
